Today in class we began to discuss the historical importance of Ancient Greece. In particular we focused on the technological, cultural, and political rise of Athens. Today in class students began to complete the Rome and Han DBQ. We also took the DBQ rubric quiz. See below for the Rome and Han DBQ attachment. Essay is due monday.
I know you have a bunch of home work and studying to do for next week but take a deep breath as everything will be alright! Remember you should plan out time each day to work on your chapter outline and study. If you do a little each night you will not feel so overwhelmed!

Today in class students took notes on Ancient Mesopotamia and completed the Political, Economic, Religious, Technology sections of their chart. Students also read and answered the focus questions for The Epic of Gilgamesh and The Code of Hammurabi. Map Quiz Tuesday 9.17 Handout and identifications below.

In class today we covered the first episode of Guns, Germs, and Steel with a focus on the haves vs. the have nots and why some cultures have so much while others do not. We discussed hunter- gatherers, agriculture, plant domestication, animal domestication, and geographic luck! |
